Haircut...this one's for Klee!

Here are pictures of my new haircut! These pics are with the front of my hair pulled back in bobby pins. I don't have any good ones of just the front of my hair with it down. I will be posting more pics of my trip home in the future (including certain members of the family playing guitar hero).

Sophi's Dish Stand

Here are pics of the dish stand that I got for Sophi. She officially ate out of it for the first time this morning. I got it at a festival and had to paint it myself. Who knew I could be so creative?? :) I realize it looks like it's made for a 10 year old girl...but Sophi LOVES it! And I didn't misspell her name. I put her name on it and realized it wasn't centered so I decided to add the initial of her last name to make it look better! :)

Halloween

My friend Kurt had a costume party Saturday (which was nice because we could all buy costumes that were marked down because it was after Halloween!). Here are some pictures. I decided to be a flapper (it was that or a go-go girl which didn't fit too well), justin was a hero in a half shell (ninja turtle), Abby was Hannah Montana, Andrea was a cougar, and Catie was Sandy from Grease. Here are some pictures...and one of Sophi and Ari looking mean, but they were just playing.

She won 2nd!!

Sophi won second place in that contest I mentioned in previous posts. She won a free groom/bath and toenail trimming. The first place winner was a persian cat that they got to actually pose for the camera in a devil outfit. It was pretty cute. But Sophi was the best dog!! :) Yay!

Happy Big 5-0 Dad!!

Happy Birthday Dad! I wish I could be down there today, but you should be getting a package from me very soon! :) Here's a pic I believe you took when ya'll came to visit me the first time! Maybe it will remind you of the old days! :)

Puppy Parade

I know, I know...all my posts are about my puppy, but she's precious! This weekend we entered the three dogs in a puppy parade at one of our malls here. They got to wear their costumes and parade around the mall (which is an outdoor mall) and compete for prizes. They didn't win anything, but it was still fun! Here are some pics of that. Ari is Peter Pan, Macie is Tinkerbell, and Sophi is a pirate (aka Captain Hook). Abby's aunt made Ari's costume which turned out incredible!! (And yes, I realize that I've drifted to the dark side and am wearing an OSU jersey).

This is a picture of Catie, me, and Abby. I don't know why I didn't take off my sunglasses, but it turned out pretty good anyways.

Later that night we all went to Kurt's house (minus Catie's dog) to watch the OSU/Penn State game. Let's just say there were a ton of upset people at the end of the game. Here's some pictures of that night. The four girls are my best friends! It's me, Abby, Andrea, and Catie.

Sophi Halloween

So, if I take pictures of Sophi in a Halloween costume I can enter her in a contest at the Vet's office and win a free vet visit (including shots, or being spade). So I talked to this lady I work with, and she said that since Sophi has a brown patch over her eye it would be cute to dress her up as a pirate. So, this has led to her being in a doggy parade at the mall with her two bff dogs Ari and Macie. Ari will be going as Peter Pan (he's the black lab in previous posts) and Macie will be Tinkerbell. This leaves Sophi as Captain Hook! It's going to be so much fun! I hope to post some pictures of that once it's over. In the meantime, I went to visit Josh and Karale and decided to take advantage of Karale's picture-taking skills. Here are some pictures of this weekend with Sophi! I'll be turning one in for the contest at the vet's office soon.

I realized as I was uploading these pictures, that we didn't get any of Karale! She was taking them all...sorry! She took some really great ones though!

Pumpkins

So...I had a very bad day on Tuesday. It was very stressful at work, and my best friend Abby was taken to the hospital Monday night for stomach pains. They took out her appendix and thought they found some cancer. I found all this out on Tuesday, and I was scared to death! Luckily, they released her yesterday and told her it was not cancer. So she's fine! :)

Justin knew I had a bad day, so he calls me that night asking what I'm doing. I said "nothing like always" and next thing I know, he's at my door with some pumpkins to carve!!! He said he thought that would cheer me up! So, here's some pics of our pumpkins! He did the goofy face and I did the spider web. I also learned that Sophi likes to try to eat everything on the pumpkin, not just the stem like in the previous pictures!!

More Puppy Pics

I recently took Sophi on her first roadtrip to Nichole's house. She got to meet Nichole, Sherry, Bryant, and many of Bryant's family. She also got to meet Nichole's two dogs who had a TON more energy than she did. She could keep up with them for a while, but eventually got so tired she would try to go hide somewhere and sleep. Here are some pics of her car ride, but for some stupid reason I didn't think to take any pics at Nichole's house with the other dogs.

That same weekend I took her to my friend Abby's house so she could meet and play with Ari. We have decided that Sophi and Ari will be boyfriend and girlfriend. Although Ari is much bigger than her right now, she wasn't scared of him at all. She even got to the point where she would pounce on him and chase him around the yard. Of course, he chased her around too. We tried to pose them by some pumpkins and get some cute pictures, but while Ari was being good, my dog tried to eat the pumpkins...

And finally...she LOVES her cage!! She's finally feeling at home in it I believe. Whenever she's tired, she will either lay on the cold tile in front of my door or go lay in her cage and sleep. I'm sooo excited that she likes the cage because I was feeling kinda bad that she's staying in there while I'm at work for now. Here's a pic of the first time she slept in the cage without me putting her in there...notice the cage door is opened!!

My new dog!!

I got a dog!! I've been wanting one for a while, and today I was having a girls day with Abby and Catie. We decided we wanted to go looking for dogs to adopt. I fell in LOVE with this dog! She's half Great Pyranese and half Shar Pei. She's absolutely adorable. Great Pyranese are supposed to be great watch dogs, so that's good for me!!! Her birthday is 7/25/2008 and her name is Sophie. Here are some pictures for everyone to see her!
